Na het afronden van de bacheloropleiding Technische Geneeskunde stromen de meeste studenten door naar de aansluitende driejarige masteropleiding Technical Medicine om zo de opleiding tot volwaardig Technisch Geneeskundige af te ronden. De masteropleiding Technical Medicine duurt drie jaar. In die periode kies je voor één van de twee specialisaties: Medical Sensing & Stimulation The track ‘Medical Sensing and Stimulation’ focuses on the acquisition, processing and interpretation of medical signals (diagnostics) and the use of signals to stimulate and thereby correct or improve impaired functions of the human organism (therapy). Medical Imaging & Interventions The track ‘Medical Imaging and Interventions’ focuses on advanced imaging, localization techniques, minimal invasive technology, reconstruction of damaged tissues, medical robotics, computer-controlled interventions and biomaterials. The track provides the required technology background on all-important imaging techniques, including accurate recognition of healthy and pathological tissue.
